This final upper view from Enmore Road shows a dramatically modern building which nevertheless exhibits an almost classical sense of balance and proportion. In fact this structure, a new 63-apartment block in Gladstone St, incorporates six silos originally part of the Crago Flour Mills and long a Newtown landmark.  Such a striking blend of old and new - further significant features are preserved inside the complex - won the 2006 Marrickville Medal for Conservation and a National Trust Heritage Award.
